Golf
Devon is a celebrated hub for iconic golf tours. The Atlantic coastline around north Devon in particular offers miles of fantastic links golf to be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. the Royal North Devon Golf Club (RND) is known is the oldest links course in England and is known as the "St Andrews of England", whilst Saunton Golf course offers championship standard Golf with world class facilities. RND golf course is less than 5 minutes drive.

North Devon is fascinating to explore on foot, whether you're on holiday or just enjoying a day out with your family. The ;local area boasts some of the UK's very best coastline views and walks - as well as a host of charming local wildlife. Follow in the footsteps of Jungle Book author Rudyard Kipling and enjoy a walk around the Tors with some spectacular views over Westward Ho! and across Bideford Bay. Explore Northam Burrows, at the mouth of the Taw-Torridge Estuary, where Westward Ho!'s pebble ridge shields a rare wildlife site of grassy coastal plain fronted by salt marsh, open grassland, rocky shore and sand dunes.

North Devon has a fascinating heritage. Delve into its past at any of the local museums, many of which are free to enter.
Ocean Escape offers fantastic sunset views over Lundy Island, but why not go and visit the island for an unforgettable day trip. Although only three miles in length, and half-a-mile wide, the Island offers an amazingly diverse range of things to do for day-trippers. Its 4,000 years of human history comes to life through the 42 scheduled monuments and its clutch of listed buildings. Because of its isolation the habitat for wildlife is often compared to that of Galapagos. This is all set against a backdrop of stunning natural rugged beauty, making it a walker’s paradise.
