As a group of 7 we had a fabulous week at Ocean Escape. The house was spacious and had everything we needed and much more. Contact from Will was efficient and helpful, responding quickly to our questions prior to arrival and keeping us informed regarding check in. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay in Westward Ho

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful property we knew we had booked a truly special place in which to base ourselves for my 50th birthday celebrations. Quite simply the house is stunning. Modern amenities throughout; an exceptional level of cleanliness and a view that is breathtaking. The owner, Will, could not have been more helpful in the run up to our visit, providing us with information and recommendations. The welcome hamper that greeted us upon our arrival was packed full of fabulous treats and was undoubtedly the best welcome hamper that I have seen. The balconies off of the spacious lounge and the master bedroom offer beautiful views and in good weather the top balcony proved a lovely place to relax. Whilst staying we had a couple of nights in and the house is really set up for this. We had a fabulous movie night (easy given that Sky and Netflix are provided) and the well appointed kitchen made cooking an easy option. Westwood Ho! itself is really lovely. The beach is stunning and there are some lovely restaurants nearby - I highly recommend Morans (Thai). If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area do not hesitate to book this property. You will not regret it. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I will certainly return!

We loved it from the moment we opened up the door till the day we checked out, loved every bit of our stay. What a lovely property Will has and what a location...the views were amazing from the property, loved the sunset views especially. The walk from the property to the promenade was always fun including the bike/scooter rides for the kids. Property was in immaculate condition and has been so well maintained, felt luxurious overall. The welcome hamper was unexpected and it made us feel so pampered when we checked in, thanks Will....very thoughtful of you & Khilna. And the constant communication + info exchange from Will has been fab....he started a WhatsApp channel few days before we started out for our holiday and I am still in touch with him Post return...thats what I would label as a superb service....has made us feel at home during at stay at the property. Loved the bbq, the games room and the home theater setup...what else would you ask for to keep the kids busy whilst you give yourself the much craved for 'me' time. We would love to return back to the same property

We had a fantastic week here and highly recommend it. The property was gorgeous, it was modern and spacious and with everything you could think of provided. The kitchen was superbly equipped and the wine coolers certainly came in handy. The bedrooms were really comfortable, plenty of space and good quality bedding and towels and beautifully furnished. In fact quality was a theme throughout the house. It was a peaceful setting, only a few minutes to the beach area and the views were great from the balcony, especially good for sitting with a drink in the evening and watching the sunset. Shops, pubs and restaurants were all in walking distance. The garden area was a sun trap, sheltered from any breeze which is always useful with the British weather! There were only 4 of us but even if there had been 8 there would have been plenty of room. The thing that also stood out was the excellent communication from the owners who clearly cared that you enjoyed the stay. A week prior to going they sent through property info, including what was in the local area like supermarkets and restaurants. Our favourite place to eat was The Pier-house, handily situated about 2 minutes walk away. Lots of choice, great food and service and a lovely setting. Getting the info sent through early helped us plan before we went and meant we didn’t have to waste any time when we got there reading instructions! The owners contacted us when they said they would (i.e. how to get the key) and also sent helpful quick start guides to kitchen equipment on the day we travelled in case we wanted to prepare something when we got there which was thoughtful. As was the welcome gift. They encouraged us to contact them if we had any questions, which we didn’t as they had proactively given us everything we needed. We didn’t have any issues but I’m confident if there were they’d have been sorted no problem. All in all it was great to go somewhere where you felt truly welcomed and that exceeded expectations. Loved this house. Cannot fault it. Loved sitting on the balcony looking out to sea. Very clean and spacious for 2 families. Very comfortable beds and sofa.

A beautiful house, well stocked with equipment, games and gadgets. Better than anticipated and we were sad to leave. A lovely hamper, fruit basket and flowers awaited us on arrival. Great communication with the owner who was really helpful.

Westward Ho! Is a great place to get away from it all and provides easy access by road to other North Devon places of interest and North Cornwall. It is also well placed for accessing coastal footpaths. The town itself has plenty of bars and food outlets but the beautiful beach and scenery surrounding it is unspoilt. Ocean Escape exceeded our expectations with the attention to detail in terms of holiday comforts, space and luxuries. The beds were comfortable, it was impeccably clean and the view was amazing. The provision of fresh flowers and a welcome hamper on arrival was a nice touch. The instructions on how to operate the TVs, use of the barbecue, kitchen appliances and XBox were clear and concise. Communication with the owner during our stay was appropriate and welcomed. I highly recommend a stay at Ocean Escape.

Absolutely loved our family holiday away and would highly recommend. Communication about our stay was great from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. The house was absolutely stunning and even better in real life than the photos. It was spacious and had every piece of kit you could have wanted plus lots more. Would definitely stay again. We had a great holiday here in Ocean Escape, it's a great location from which to explore North Devon and some amazing walks and beaches just a stone's throw away! The house is easy to find and great to have dedicated parking as we felt street parking could be very competitive in high season! First impressions are awesome, the front bedroom on the second floor and top floor living areas are stunning. The house is beautifully furnished and the beds super comfy. Linens are also of a very high quality so it felt very much like home away from home. There is much to keep guests occupied should the weather turn wet and outdoor pursuits a non-starter. We had the most amazing blue skies all week so didn't make use of the ping pong but we did enjoy watching the sun setting from the balcony and sitting in the rear garden which is nicely sheltered. There is ample storage for clothes and the kitchen is well equipped should you choose to eat in. It was a bit cool when we visited [mid-April] but I can imagine breakfast in the garden and a BBQ supper would be a lovely way to enjoy all that this house offers. The welcome pack was well received and the flowers and fresh fruit basket lovely touches. Local shops are on hand for emergency supplies and there are large supermarkets just a few miles away. We also spotted details of a caterer that will supply cooked meals or come and cook a meal for guests in the house, which we thought was a great idea if you were visiting to celebrate a special occasion. The owner can provide the details. This is a relatively new listing and the owners are clearly determined to ensure that guests have a great time and are proactive about resolving any concerns and acting on feedback. I would recommend guests have a quick look at the guide for using the hob before arrival, I didn't and regretted the decision. It truly is simple when you know how it works!

What a beautiful place - spotless, located close to the water, and shops of westward Ho, and just a short drive to Bideford. Everything was amazing from the super nice beds, to the recliner sofa in the games room which worked well as an office as well. Great place for a family to congregate and go on cool walks (SW coast path is minutes away on foot), and Appledore and John's bakery are a short drive away too. Very happy we decided to stay here!

Great modern property in excellent condition, with fabulous views over the bay and in a good location to explore the village and North Devon. The owners have put in a lot of effort to make this a 5-star experience and it really delivers. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve had a really lovely stay in this beautiful house ! We all really enjoyed all the special features like the table tennis & the Cinema room, but most of all, the stunning views, even on a rainy day ! Thanks for being so helpful – The hamper and fruit on arrival was a lovely touch and most appreciated. There is so much to do in the area, we loved baggy point, Saunton sands and the kids loved the milky way. Great food from Atlantic bay, pig & olive, the thatched inn & tea on the green. We hope to be back soon and we will be recommending to our friends !

We had such a fantastic holiday. The views across the bay are amazing, we seen some amazing sunsets. the house really is perfect for families, even when the weather was bad, there was always something to entertain us. Everything is really high quality, the bedding and towels etc were amazing, all of these things just made the holiday for us. We hope to be back next year !
